The Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to support and raise funds for Alzheimer’s research, support, and care. This year, we are proud to announce that Proceed Innovative, a Chicago-based digital marketing agency, will be partnering with Assisting Hands Home Care, a national senior care franchise, to sponsor this event.

Working with a number of franchisees to improve their online presence, Proceed Innovative is happy to support this social cause as it directly relates to Assisting Hands Home Care’s clients.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s Event

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk To End Alzheimer’s is held annually in over 600 communities in the country, and is the world’s largest event to raise funds and awareness for the cause. Aimed to inspire individuals of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease, this event calls on everyone for help!

Alzheimers sponsor event

This year, the event will take place on September 28th, 2019 at 8 AM in Busse Woods, Elk Grove Village – for more information visit alzheimers-illinois.org/northwestsuburbanwalk.

WALK participants’ funds help to fuel the mission, and their participation raises the overall awareness of Alzheimer’s in the community. Within the Alzheimer’s Association, there a number of free, easy-to-use tools as well as staff support to help participants reach their fundraising goals. There is no fee to register for the event, but it is encouraged that participants help to fundraise to contribute and raise awareness for the cause.

End Alzheimer’s

Assisting Hands Home Care

Assisting Hands Home Care is a national franchise that is dedicated to helping elderly individuals and adults with disabilities stay independent in their homes. This is done through providing home care services, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).

Everything from light housekeeping to running errands, Assisting Hands Home Care caregivers ensure to treat each senior with respect and compassion to help them feel safe and comfortable in their own home.

Assisting Hands Home Care and Alzheimer’s Patients

When working with seniors, many suffer from Alzheimer’s disease or other form of dementia. As these degenerative diseases affect both physical and cognitive abilities, many patients experience heightened levels of stress, frustration, and confusion.

To combat these issues, Assisting Hands Home Care caregivers are trained to work with these patients through Alzheimer’s and dementia care services. Keeping them safe, engaging them in activities, and maintaining a safe and clean environment in the home are just some of the support provided to care for these patients.

Supporting the Alzheimer’s Association

This year, Assisting Hands Home Care is taking the support to end Alzheimer’s a step further, partnering with Proceed Innovative in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Together, we are excited to raise funds and awareness to support this wonderful cause and invite everyone to join us at this event in September. We look forward to seeing you there!
